After a small hitch with space to use for headshots we ended up setting up in the lobby. Only to find out there were no power outlets! A super long extension cord from a friendly gentleman got everything up and running quickly! Here is a wide shot of a setup I was using for a group shot, with my backdrop set up for individual headshots.
From the time I parked my car until I took the last of six headshots was one hour and fifteen minutes, and that was with each person doing an outfit change. Not bad for a borrowed space!
Book ShootJoeC for headshots, group shots, lobby’s and wood wall photography!
Yesterday I had a great time with a couple of my favorite people, from The Nancy Yahner Group, Keller Williams. We filmed some promotional material for their use across all social media platforms and YouTube, stayed tuned to see those videos!
Yesterday I got out to DC to photograph this super rad bakery in Union Market for my friends at GTM Architects. Pluma is having their grand opening this Saturday, February 3rd, go check them out!
Last summer I did a few edit jobs for HiFly Photography, a Texas based company that provides drone footage for real estate companies. I was pleasantly surprised when I received footage from them of a building that is right near my home! Check it out and remember, ShootJoeC can provide a range of services from shoot planning to contract editing and beyond!
Well, the title says it all! Here is a time-lapse I made of me editing one of the headshots from yesterdays shoot. In this video I am using Lightroom briefly, followed by the remainder of the editing in Photoshop.
The total time on this edit was about one hour and fifteen minutes. This level of editing is included in all of my headshot sessions. Please someone let me know if you are interested in seeing more of this type of stuff, Ive been considering doing voiceover, explaining which tools I am using and how I get the best results.
Today I headed out to DC for a client that needed a couple of headshots taken for employees. The client has a shared space inside the WeWork Wonderbread Factory location, which is one of the coolest shared spaces I have seen, check them out by clicking, here.
The location had tons of random spots to set up for photos, and I ended up using a small meeting room. I went with my standard headshot setup, which consists of a roll of savage backdrop paper on a backdrop stand, and two White Lightening 3200 Strobes.
I plan on making a little editing tutorial video with one of the photos from today, so stay tuned!
It has been a few months since this shoot for my good friends Lexi & Eric in Denver, but the photos are too gorgeous not to share. Lexi and Eric decided against a traditional wedding and instead chose to go a much more fun route! Check out some of the photos below to see for yourself!
One of my favorite places to shoot in the world just happens to be right where I live, Loudoun County Virginia! I take every opportunity I can to photograph or film anything here, from real estate, automobiles, portraits and even the occasional wedding! Here are a few of my favorites from the years for your enjoyment!
This photo of my dear friends was taken at Blumont Vineyard in Blumont, VA, the highest point in Loudoun County I might add! The day before my sweet Penelope was born too!
This is a marketing video I did for my favorite client ever, TYG Homes! It is located in the village of Paeonian Springs just outside of Leesburg, Virginia. This tiny village is especially cool because it served as a vacation spot for city folk, starting way back in the 1890’s!
I am just about done with the Quick Cut updates that I mentioned in my previous post, which you can see here. Here is where I am with it now.
